Trade Show in Las Vegas

I recently had the pleasure of helping my sister for a 2nd time with a trade show at Bally's in Las Vegas. It was the Beauty Industry Western Buyers Show, and there is much to see both at the show and in Las Vegas.

At the trade show you will find manufacturers of nail art and pedicure supplies, nail color, make-up, hair color, hair accessories, spray tanning products and applicators, salon supplies and many other things related to the industry. The manufacturer reps and buyers tour the show floor for 2 days looking for the latest and greatest to sell to salons or retail shops. Each manufacturer marketing their best items to get them into the hands of the professionals or the consumer.

Our booth was across the aisle from a spray tan manufacturer and they had two very young and beautiful girls standing all day in front of their booth - wearing bikinis. Totally wasted on us, however I do believe every man attending walked by at least 2-3 times over the two day event. Great traffic flow for our booth!

After the first day they put on a nice dinner for all the manufacturers, reps and buyers, and then you can head out to explore Las Vegas. We have walked to the casinos near Bally's and toured through them both this year and last. Caesar's Palace is absolutely amazing, and The Bellagio is a must see with their fountain that "dances" to music. My nephew took us down to Fremont Street (the old part of Vegas) last year which was very unique with the old time casinos such as The Golden Nugget, and street entertainers of all types. This year he was able to obtain VIP tickets to Vegas - The Show! Unfortunately I was ill and had to bow out, but my sister was able to attend and said it was a fabulous performance. So disappointed I missed it, but glad that she had the opportunity to go.

I am thankful that I have had the opportunity to learn more about my sister's business, and the trade show experience (another skill I can add to my knowledge base). Spending time together is a bonus. I am also lucky that I have been able to experience at least a small part of Las Vegas. It is great fun and something I think everyone should do at least once in their life.
