Coffee and Dessert

If you are a chocolate lover like me, then this recipe will make your day!

 
Death by Chocolate
 
Chocolate Cake Mix (or your favorite chocolate cake recipe)
Extra large Cool Whip
2 Packages of Chocolate Instant Pudding
1 Package of Heath Bar Crunch Bits or 6-7 Heath Bar Crunch Bars - crushed
 
  • Make the chocolate cake in 9 x 11 cake pan, remove from pan and let cool overnight. (put on cooling rack and cover with towel)
  • Cut the cake into small squares.
  • Place 1/2 of the cake squares into a large glass bowl or truffle dish.
  • Make 1 package of the instant pudding according to directions and pour over the cake squares.
  • Place 1/2 of the Cool Whip over the cake and pudding mixture.
  • Sprinkle with 1/2 of the Heath Bar Crunch Bits.
  • Repeat the layers and refrigerate.

Palma Nova and Palma de Mallorca, Spain

As we were planning our trip to Italy, he mentioned that he would like to go to Spain for our next big vacation. When he was in the Navy, he had spent time there and always wanted to go back. Considering the cost of airline tickets, I suggested we incorporate it into this trip and spend the last week there. After all, three weeks away makes for an amazing trip. After landing in Palma, de Mallorca, we picked up our rental vehicle to make the short trip to Palma Nova. We took some time to settle in and relax before heading out for dinner. El Puerto De Santa Maria, Spain

After two weeks of traveling through Italy, and spending precious time with family, we would be taking the last week to relax and see a bit of Spain. Warm, breezy and beautiful, El Puerto De Santa Maria would a wonderful place to spend some time alone. On our way to El Puerto De Santa Maria, I was quite taken with the countryside along the highway. Field after field of Sunflowers were a beautiful sight. Some not yet blossoming, others in full bloom and now and then fields of flowers fading away. Colorful flowering bushes separated the north and south lanes of the highway which made for a calm and peaceful ride. Our Airbnb had a wonderful outdoor patio with a view of the coast, and we spent many hours relaxing and enjoying the view.
