Do Not Give Up the Power to Chart the Course for Your Future

You, and only you, should make the choices that will chart the path for your future. You are the one who knows what is in your heart and what your passion is, and what road you want to take to get there. Why then would you give up the power to someone else to make a choice that will effect the rest of your life? What would make you think that they will have your best interests at heart? Why would you give someone else this power?

We all make choices in life - some good and some not so good. When we make these choices we must live with them and learn from them. This is how we grow and adjust to make sure we are going in the right direction. This is good as long as they are choices we have made. When you allow someone else to make choices for you, then you give them your power and you are no longer in control. Where you end up may be where they want to be, but not the best place for you. The impact can be life altering and derail the plans you have made for your future.

If I could give advice to our teens and young adults I would tell them to always make sure they make their own decisions. Do not let any one moment in life allow you to let down your guard, and let someone else talk you into going against what you feel and believe is right for you. It is very easy to get caught up in a moment and want to just let go and not be responsible for the outcome. However, if it is not your choice you will always look back and think to yourself "I wish I had done this differently".

Do not give someone else the power to make choices for you. Be in control of your own life and your own future. Make choices that you know are the best ones for you. Follow your heart and your passion and know that you are the one that can chart the course for your future. If you do then it should always lead you in the right direction - your direction.

Simply Sides - Corn Bread Casserole

My sister has made this casserole at Thanksgiving for many years. It is creamy and delicious and has been a big hit with the entire family. This dish is very easy and is not only great for your holiday meal, but also for weeknight dinners. Corn Bread Casserole 1 can creamed corn 1 can whole kernel corn ( undrained ) 8 ounces sour cream 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) melted butter 1 box Jiffy corn bread mix Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. 1. Mix all ingredients and pour into the prepared dish. 2. Bake at 325F for one hour. Enjoy!!

The Rock of Gibraltar

On our way to El Puerto De Santa Maria, we made a detour to see the Rock of Gibraltar. If you have ever seen a Prudential Financial advertisement, you will recognize the Rock of Gibraltar which is their logo. The Rock of Gibraltar is a single large block of stone 426 m (1,398 ft) high. It is a limestone peninsula and mountainous rock that jets out of the end of the British territory at the southwestern tip of Europe. It is home to a network of caves, including the famous St. Michael’s Cave, which is open to the public. At the top of the Rock, visitors can enjoy amazing panoramic views of the surrounding area, including Morocco on a clear day. Seeing the Rock from below is quite a sight, however, taking a tour to the top tells a much bigger story of how impressive it truly is.
